Elman Wall – the firm

It is important to us that you know who you are dealing with.

We are organised as a limited company, and so we have directors, and not partners.

In most cases, clients are in regular contact with two directors who are their prime point of contact. Where possible, we try to keep our professional and support staff consistently working on the same clients.

Elman Wall was established on January 1 1996 by Jonathan Wall and Ralph Elman, who had previously both been key partners together in a predecessor firm. Both originally qualified as chartered accountants with a large multi-national firm.

We are based in purpose-designed offices in the heart of Oxford Circus in London’s West End.

Our firm is all about the people who work in it and the next section of this guide elaborates on our key staff.

Many of our clients are owner-managed businesses. They need the professionalism and expertise found with the large international accountancy firms, that for the most part we trained with, but want the friendly, personal service of a much smaller firm. We believe that we have successfully combined these two needs.

This makes us “top heavy”, but we know we must be this way to give the best service.

We have clients in many business sectors. However, we have a particular niche specialisation in the travel and leisure industries, where we are well known and well respected.

We are also strong in tax planning and strategy work, as well as handling tax investigations.
